A checklist is not a screening or a diagnosis
Checking milestones is not a screening or a diagnosis. This page does not score anything and cannot tell you whether your child has any condition.
If your child is not meeting one or more milestones, has lost skills they once had, or you have any other concern, talk to your child's doctor and ask for a developmental screening. Don't wait.
Free public programs in Florida
You don't need to wait for a doctor's appointment to ask about these programs. Both are public and free to families.
Florida Early Steps (children under 3)
Florida's early intervention program for infants and toddlers, run by the Florida Department of Health. Families can make a referral directly.
FDLRS Child Find (ages 3 to 5)
Florida's Child Find for young children runs through FDLRS (Florida Diagnostic & Learning Resources System) together with your school district. You can ask for a free screening. Steps differ by district, so check your own.

Common questions
What are developmental milestones?
The CDC describes developmental milestones as things most children (75% or more) can do by a certain age. How a child plays, learns, speaks, acts and moves offers important clues about development.
What should I do if my child is not meeting one or more milestones?
Talk to your child's doctor, share your concerns and ask for a developmental screening. Don't wait. You can also contact Florida Early Steps (under 3) or FDLRS Child Find (ages 3 to 5) for a free evaluation or screening.
Is anything I check on this page saved or sent to Paramount Behavior?
No. The checkboxes work only in your browser. Nothing is stored, scored or sent, and closing or reloading the page clears them.
