ABA Therapy in Wellington, FL

Updated: October 21, 2026

Wellington is one of the biggest communities in western Palm Beach County, which makes in-home therapy especially handy. When getting everyone in the car is a project, a therapist who comes to your door makes it easier to say yes to help.

Why in-home ABA suits Wellington families

Wellington covers a lot of ground, and getting a young child into a car for therapy is a job in itself. With in-home ABA, a trained therapist comes to you and works one-on-one with your child in the place where they eat, play, sleep and get ready for school.

ABA, or Applied Behavior Analysis, breaks skills into small steps and teaches them with encouragement. At Paramount Behavior every therapist is an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) supervised by a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst), and the plan is built around your child, not a generic checklist.

A typical stretch of sessions might practice greeting a neighbor, handling the noise of a busy store, waiting for a turn on the playground or helping with a morning routine so school starts calmly. Your BCBA also coaches you, so what works in a session works on a Saturday afternoon too. You decide what matters most, and the goals follow your lead.

From Greenacres to Wellington

Our office is at 6145 Lake Worth Rd, Suite A in Greenacres. Wellington lies to the west, and Lake Worth Road (State Road 802) runs through Wellington too. We serve Wellington families along that corridor and across the village, including the area around Forest Hill Boulevard, State Road 7 and Southern Boulevard, and neighborhoods such as Aero Club. Royal Palm Beach, Loxahatchee Groves and the Acreage are next door. If your address is on the far side of the village, tell us when you call and we will confirm.

Wellington schools and the district

Wellington is served by the School District of Palm Beach County. Elementary schools include Wellington Elementary, New Horizons, Discovery Key, Binks Forest, Elbridge Gale, Equestrian Trails and Panther Run. Middle schools include Wellington Landings, Emerald Cove and Polo Park, and high schools include Wellington High and Palm Beach Central.

The district's Exceptional Student Education (ESE) department provides autism services at a variety of schools from Pre-K through high school, and the program depends on the student. Start with your school's ESE coordinator. For a child about 3 to 5 who is not yet in public school, FDLRS Alpha Child Find offers free developmental screenings, no doctor referral or insurance needed.

We also support children at school. How that works is arranged with the school, so bring it up early.

Coverage in plain language

Florida Medicaid generally pays for behavior analysis for people under 21 when it is medically necessary, and many private plans in Florida must cover ABA for an autism diagnosis. We accept Florida Medicaid, including Molina Healthcare, Sunshine Health, Children's Medical Services Health Plan and Community Care Plan, and we can check your benefits with private plans such as Aetna, Cigna, Florida Blue and UnitedHealthcare. We look into your benefits for you, tell you what is covered and help with the paperwork.

Taking the first step

The first consultation is free, and we book it as soon as you call, and we are happy to answer anything. After the insurance check, a BCBA meets your child. There is no waitlist; what sets the pace after that is the paperwork (the doctor's referral, a diagnostic evaluation, and insurance or Medicaid authorization) and your family's schedule. You do not need to have everything figured out. If all you have is a worry and no diagnosis yet, call anyway, and we will talk through what to do next and where to get an evaluation.
