ABA Therapy in Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Updated: October 21, 2026

If you live in Palm Beach Gardens and your child has autism, you may be told that therapy means a long drive or a long wait. This page explains another route, ABA therapy at home, and the free local help that surrounds it.

An honest word about distance

Our office is in Greenacres, at 6145 Lake Worth Rd, Suite A, and Palm Beach Gardens is toward the northern end of Palm Beach County. We serve families across the county, including the Gardens, and we would rather tell you plainly: when you call, share your street address and we will confirm that we can reach you before you spend a minute on paperwork.

What in-home ABA looks like

ABA stands for Applied Behavior Analysis. It teaches skills through short, clear steps, lots of encouragement and a lot of repetition in real life. In-home ABA means your child learns where they live. A therapist works with your child one-on-one in your living room, kitchen or backyard, on the things that matter to your family. Sessions are built around real routines such as getting ready in the morning, snack time and playing with a sibling, so skills carry over into the rest of your day. A BCBA reviews progress and adjusts the plan as your child grows.

Every therapist on our team is an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) supervised by a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst). The BCBA builds the plan from what your child can do today and what you want for tomorrow. We also teach parents the same strategies, and the team is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Communities in and around the Gardens

Palm Beach Gardens includes well-known residential communities such as PGA National, Mirasol and BallenIsles, plus neighborhoods along PGA Boulevard, MacArthur Boulevard, Northlake Boulevard and Military Trail. Juno Beach, Jupiter, North Palm Beach and Lake Park are next door. If you live in one of those towns, ask whether we can reach you.

Schools and the district

Palm Beach Gardens children attend schools in the School District of Palm Beach County, including Palm Beach Gardens Community High School and William T. Dwyer High School. The district's Exceptional Student Education (ESE) department provides autism services at a variety of schools from Pre-K through high school, depending on the student's needs. Your child's school ESE coordinator is the place to ask about an evaluation.

If your child is about 3 to 5 and not enrolled in public school, FDLRS Alpha Child Find offers free developmental screenings. No doctor referral or insurance is required. We can also coordinate with your child's school team on goals, and we arrange any school-day support with the school directly.

Local and free: help close to home

North county families have some resources within a short drive:

  • FAU CARD has a Palm Beach County office at the FAU Jupiter campus. Its services are free and include consultation, training, developmental screenings and referrals. CARD does not provide therapy or diagnosis.
  • Treasure Coast Early Steps, from Easterseals Florida, serves children from birth to 36 months in Palm Beach County. Parents can refer a child, and the evaluation is free.
  • The Gardens Branch library is at 11303 Campus Drive and the Jupiter Branch at 705 Military Trail. The county library system holds Sensory Friendly Browsing Hours at locations across the county, and the Jupiter Branch has been on that schedule. Check the calendar.
  • The 2-1-1 Special Needs Helpline helps families raising children up to age 22 find services. The Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County helps fund it.

Insurance without the guesswork

Florida Medicaid generally covers behavior analysis for people under 21 when it is medically necessary, and Florida law requires many private health plans to cover ABA for children with an autism diagnosis. We accept Florida Medicaid, including Molina Healthcare, Sunshine Health, Children's Medical Services Health Plan and Community Care Plan, and we can check your benefits with private plans such as Aetna, Cigna, Florida Blue and UnitedHealthcare. Give us your plan information and we will check your benefits and explain them, for free.

Your first call

Start with a free consultation, booked as soon as you call, and ask anything. We check your insurance, then a BCBA gets to know your child, strengths first. There is no waitlist: we have openings. What sets the pace after that is the paperwork (the doctor's referral, a diagnostic evaluation, and insurance or Medicaid authorization) and your family's schedule.

What is a BCBA?

A BCBA is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. The BCBA designs your child's plan and supervises the RBT who works with your child.

Can you check my Aetna or Florida Blue benefits?

Yes, we can check your benefits with them. We accept Florida Medicaid, including Molina Healthcare, Sunshine Health, Children's Medical Services Health Plan and Community Care Plan, and we can check your benefits with private plans such as Aetna, Cigna, Florida Blue and UnitedHealthcare.
