ABA Therapy in Royal Palm Beach, FL

Updated: October 21, 2026

Royal Palm Beach families juggle school drop-off, work and everything in between, and a child with autism adds extra needs on top. Here is how ABA therapy fits into that real life, and who else in the area can lend a hand.

Therapy that fits around your family's day

ABA, or Applied Behavior Analysis, teaches children new skills in small, doable steps. At Paramount Behavior the work happens where your child already spends time, mostly at home, and with support at school when that makes sense. A therapist who comes to you saves you the drive, the waiting room and the extra transition for a child who finds new places hard.

Your child's therapist is an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician), and a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) supervises the work. You get a plan with goals you understand, in English or Spanish.

Royal Palm Beach and the Palms West area

We serve families in Royal Palm Beach and the western communities around it. That includes neighborhoods such as the Colony section, the Willows, LaMancha, Madison Green and Counterpoint Estates, plus homes near Royal Palm Beach Boulevard, Okeechobee Boulevard and State Road 7. Wellington, Loxahatchee Groves and The Acreage are close. Our office is in Greenacres, and families west of us are part of our regular service area. If you are not sure about your address, ask when you call.

School days in Royal Palm Beach

Public schools here, including H. L. Johnson Elementary, Cypress Trails Elementary, Crestwood Middle School and Royal Palm Beach High School, are part of the School District of Palm Beach County. The district's Exceptional Student Education (ESE) department provides autism services at a variety of schools from Pre-K through high school. What your child receives depends on their needs, so the best first step is a conversation with your school's ESE coordinator.

Home therapy and school can pull in the same direction. If your child is working on asking for a break at home, we can share that goal with the school team and practice the same words. How a therapist might join the school day is arranged with the school, so ask early.

Not sure yet? Where to begin

Plenty of parents call us before they have an answer. If you are wondering whether what you see is a reason to call, our parent guide on signs a child might benefit from ABA is a good read. Insurance usually asks for a diagnosis before ABA starts, but wondering is always allowed. A few good places to start:

  • Talk with your child's pediatrician about developmental concerns.
  • FAU CARD offers free developmental screenings, consultation, training and referrals for families in Palm Beach County. It does not provide therapy or diagnosis.
  • For a child about 3 to 5 who is not in public school, FDLRS Alpha Child Find offers free screenings with no doctor referral or insurance required.
  • For a child under 3, Treasure Coast Early Steps from Easterseals Florida evaluates eligibility at no cost, and a parent can make the referral.

Out and about nearby

The Royal Palm Beach Branch library is at 500 Civic Center Way. It belongs to the county library system, which offers Sensory Friendly Browsing Hours, so check the calendar. The village has parks such as Royal Palm Beach Commons and Veterans Park, and the Royal Palm Beach Pines Natural Area is there for a quiet walk. The 2-1-1 Special Needs Helpline can connect you with more help for a child up to age 22.

What it costs

Florida Medicaid generally covers behavior analysis for children under 21 when it is medically necessary. Many private plans in Florida must also cover ABA for an autism diagnosis. We accept Florida Medicaid, including Molina Healthcare, Sunshine Health, Children's Medical Services Health Plan and Community Care Plan, and we can check your benefits with private plans such as Aetna, Cigna, Florida Blue and UnitedHealthcare. Before therapy starts we verify your benefits and tell you what to expect.

Getting started

Begin with a free consultation, booked as soon as you call. We check your insurance, a BCBA meets your child and then sessions begin. There is no waitlist: we have openings. What sets the pace after that is the paperwork (the doctor's referral, a diagnostic evaluation, and insurance or Medicaid authorization) and your family's schedule.

Use the quick request form on this page or call (561) 421-0047 whenever suits you. There is no pressure and no cost for the first conversation. Se habla español.

Is there a long waitlist?

Many places in Florida have waitlists. We have no waitlist: there are openings, and we book the free consultation as soon as you call. After that, the paperwork and your family's schedule set the pace.
